Go Fish — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This policy explains what data the mobile game Go Fish collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers the game on Google Play (“Go Fish! Card Game online”) and on the App Store (“Go Fish Club”).

The game is developed by BlitzPlay Games (“we”, “us”). Questions and requests: privacy@blitzplay.games.

1. Data we collect

  • Game account: the game creates an account for you automatically — there is no sign-up form. It uses an identifier of your device and an automatically generated player name. If you link Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iOS), we also store that player ID so your progress can be restored on a new device. We do not receive your email address, real name or contacts from these services.
  • Gameplay data: matches and their results, reputation, win streaks, achievements, the opponents you have unlocked, and the in-game items (trinkets) you own, find and put at stake.
  • Settings: music and sound volume, language, vibration.
  • Purchase data: the product ID and the purchase token or receipt of the “Remove Ads” purchase, which our server records and may check with Google Play or the App Store. Payments are processed by Google or Apple; we never receive your card details.
  • Device and technical data: device model, operating system and version, language, app version, the IP address of requests to our server, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
  • Advertising data: the advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID; on iOS the IDFA only if you allow tracking) and data about ads shown, processed by Google AdMob.
  • Usage analytics: in-game events such as match start and end, ads shown and screens opened, processed by Google Firebase Analytics.

2. How we use it

  • To run the game: sign you in, save your progress and restore it on another device.
  • To run matches against bots and other players, stakes and the trinket collection.
  • To record purchases and turn off ads for players who bought “Remove Ads”.
  • To show ads between matches and to measure them.
  • To find and fix crashes and improve the game.
  • To answer your support and privacy requests.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Services that process data for us

  • Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform — ads and consent (policies.google.com/privacy).
  • Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics — usage analytics and crash reports (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
  • Google Play Games Services and Google Play Billing — sign-in and purchases on Android (policies.google.com/privacy).
  • Apple Game Center and the App Store — sign-in and purchases on iOS (apple.com/legal/privacy).
  • Our game server, which stores accounts and progress, runs at Hetzner Online in Helsinki, Finland (European Union).

4. Consent and ad choices

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent to personalized ads on first launch; analytics follow the same choice (Google Consent Mode).

On iOS the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking when the system asks; otherwise ads are not personalized. On Android you can reset or delete the advertising ID in your device settings.

The “Remove Ads” purchase turns off ads between matches for good.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your account and game data while your account exists. Analytics data is kept by Firebase for up to 14 months, crash reports for up to 90 days.

To delete your account and all game data, write to privacy@blitzplay.games with your player code — it is shown at the bottom of the Settings screen in the game. We delete the account within 30 days; this cannot be undone. Uninstalling the game does not delete the account on our server. Records of purchases may be kept as long as required by law.

6. Adults only

Go Fish is intended for adults (18+): it features bar settings, crude humour and playing for in-game items. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact privacy@blitzplay.games and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@blitzplay.games. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security and transfers

Data between the game and our server is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to the server is restricted. The services listed above may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
